hello, my mate is restoring a 72 bay window, its the first one that he's done. he wants to have it very low. he has sat it low in the garage, but cant get the back wheels off when the arches are on. how would you get the wheel off at the side of the road without taking the hub off? if he put an airbag system on would it lift up enough? what else can he do?
thanks

Adjustable spring plates, they are hinged so when you jack the car up they have the extra few inches of drop to squeeze the wheels off. How wide are the wheels? (Mike has some porsche rims and adapters and they pop on and off okand yes he bus is a slammed bay (i think they are for sale too) P.S. AIRBAGS ARE CHEATING!!!!

it shouldnt be a probglem unless dumped three splines, if the short shocks are too short that will stop the rim dropping low enough so un bolt the lower shock mount. but its usually ok. im going lower and i have 215 width tyres on with a wiggle and a twist it isnt an issue. the main prob at the side of the road is getting the bus high enough to get the rim off.
ps do you fancy a set of boxster rims? on the bus in the pic.
