Hi Guys just got back into the vdub scene after a 10year absence.
can anyone tell me how to fit the headlining or give me some tips.
also whats the cheapest easiest way to drop the front end a couple of inches?
its a 1972 1300 (not mcpherson strut)
Many thanks,
Hopefully get along to the next meet as I recon a couple more nights and she'll be driveable.
P.S I'll be at BugJam in a blue Nissan Nivara with Vincent written on the side. (I know but its good for towing and you may need some help with that in future so no snotty remarks!)

2 ways to drop the front - dropped spindles will give you about a 2 inch drop but will increase the track slightly. The other option is to fit an adjustable beam (or weld adjusters into your current beam) - this will give you about a maximum 4 inch drop (adjustable from 0-4 obviously) as long as you get the adjusters in at the right angle in the first place. As for the headlining - no idea - I know people use clothes pegs to hold it in place in the early stages and a hairdryer to make it easier to take up the tension but I have never done one
