whilst wasting time today on the net at work, i came across a new club for girl surfers in cornwall. It looks really good, they are called cornwall surfer girls (inspired) and are BSA affiliated. Basically they have set up to help girls to progress in surfing, and have regular coaching events, parties and camp outs. they are also planning to do fitness and yoga classes, and will be having meets all over cornwall, some of them closer to home.. Anyway this saturday at Gwithian (sandsifter) they are having a meet from 1pm, with coaching from instructors at 2pm for beginners and 6pm for intermediates... After that theres a big party in the sandsifter restaurant (you can bring the boys to this) and there is camping right outside, which i believe is free!! boys can do their own thing in the afternoon... If you join the club £15 a year then coaching is a fiver for the afternoon, and if you don't join its £10. If you don't need coaching then you can just surf and not pay a bean... oh and there is going to be really cheap board hire if you need it! I'm gonna head down there, but it would be cool to have some company, and not be barbara no mates!! anyone fancy it?? check them out here www.cornwallsurfergirls.co.ukHels
