Aint updated this in ages So... Got me a new set of dropped spindles, and disk brake conversion (Cheers Jim) and a porsche master cylinder, Also a man who can currently has the bug doing a bit of narrowing on the front end and bolting on all the disks ect. None of this is for no reason mind you, need good brakes due to the new 1914 tuned lump going in the back. gonna run the stock box till i can afford a 1500 or 1600 box recon it wont last long though

Thanks to Pauly, the bugs now 2" narrower up front, and its now slammed on the floor with a set of CB performance dropped spindles and stops well with the CB performance HUGE disk kit too thanks to jim again Got a porsche 944 master cylinder running through braided hoses in to the calipers for added stopping power Its pretty low, it hits the nose on EVERY speed bump i come to , so got a set of air adjustable shocks comming in from the states in the next couple of weeks. Gonna drop the rear end another notch too so it sits a little more level, and pop in the 1914cc lump next weekend. Pic's when i can be arsed to take them!

Few updates on the picture front of the work done in the last couple of months. Porsche master cylinder fitted up with new braided hoses ect Dropped spindles, Disks & Calpiers New height, bit too close to the floor Been busy again this weekend, Took the bug out to work in the snow, so i could do the engine swap that ive been trying to get round to sorting for about a year Before it came out i had to have a little bit of fun as it was rude not too  :lol!: :lol!: :lol!: :lol!: :lol!: :lol!: :lol!: Back to buisness.. Took out the old 1600 motor, Cleaned the engine bay up, took out all the old sound proofing as it was hanging down and getting sucked in to the carbs, and didnt ant that happening in the 1914cc motor And she aint rusty in there either  Got all the oil and crap off the deck lid too Added some bling on the deck lid: Then in with the new lump: All in and working:

UPDATE: Got the oil covered motor out and gave it a good clean, got the old totally fooked 1200 6v box out, dropped in the donor 12v 1300 box, so will still keep its acceleration, still gonna keep my eyes out for a 1600 but no rush Got the new box all painted up before hand, as it was from a later bug had to change the shafts (which is a total arse) and a few other bits as there was some stuff that needed swapping to make it mint Put on new brake hoses, new hub seals, new hand brake cable sleeve, new fuel lines, new gear box polyurathane mounts, new gear linkages, new engine seal, new external oil filter, dropped all the fluids and replaced with new, and many other new bits to make sure i aint gonna be messing about with it again soon. Any ways, in a nut shell, all the drive train is now refurbed and is as new so should make for a much nicer and less oil dripping ride Drives loads better now, and oil loss is a shed load less now Thinking of giving it a high gloss finish but unsure as yet, dont want to seem like im copy Joe's bug.. Also ive got the Air shock in the front sorted out and all working properly now. So i can raise the front end for driving and slam it for showing Keeps her in doors happy too, so cant loose! Gonnna try to mess about with the rear end now, so i can raise and drop that too, not sure how.. as yet, but im working on it!
