What about taking my bus beam back up by an inch? (front)
Oh, and while you're at it can you drop one of those 6 cyl thingamies from a porche in the back. Apparently goes straight in. Hours work tops?
Advice on the beam though appreciated.

Is it running too low or just bottoming out giving you a shit ride.
my bus is the same drives me mental on the back lanes but its like a touring car on flat roads and motorways.
what is really wrong with the beam or is it just advice from someone trying to take cash from you
Bloody nightmare really has it failed the mot for it or is it just smashing the hell out off your bus.
I take it that it has been cut and turned rather than using adjusters and welded in too low.
Im afraid there aint a lot you can do if the beam has been botched to look cool apart from cut and reweld it a bit higher or fit adjusters in its place. If it has adjusters you need some fat blokes ;D to stand on the wheels to force the adjusters loose and raise it a bit, like pauls orange one that goes too low too.
Has it got short shocks on it? mine are tiny less than 7 inches when fully closed which helps it run smoother the suspension then rests on the torsion spring rather than the shock absorber.
but if the beam has been welded incorrectly you might find the wheels shoot up into the arches what ever you do.
I was going to buy a creative beam and put drop spindles on it to still run it really low if i wanted in comfort, but it aint cheep once you have shortened the springs and track rods its an easy £550
;)If your beam isnt too rusty i would buy some basic folksy adjusters and weld them in and wind it up a bit about 100 plus fitting. Also I would have thought there must be tonnes of beams for sale at the moment because every tom dick and harry has a narrowed beam soon it will be rare to see a std beam on a bus.
Paul above might be able to help with the fitting of the adjusters if he has the time ? Im a willing fat bloke to stand on the wheels.

My question would be is it worth lowering??
I have no real opinion on that ..... what do you think?
Lowered buses look better but I would be worried about grounding and a change in the feel of the drive!
Any advice?
How much does it cost?
Cheers
